Double Arch in reclaimed Bricks
This was a fun one as i had to trim approximately 300 bricks in the arch in order to keep the perps to a reasonable size around the curve, It's also fully bonded so had to be bonded out on the floor before being built allowing for the bond to follow round on the underside of the arches and work on the other side pillar on the way down. (Some of that i just keep in my head)
The 2 patches of brickwork on the left have been laid in dry sand for easy removal so a steel staircase can be fitted at a later date.
Please Note that the I beam was manufactured by the owner Mr J Milsom to carry the upstairs floor joists, Going for a industrial type exposed beam floor, With the joists having a groove cut in the ends and bolted through.
Brickwork done by myself and Jake Williamson
